Fabric badges for the uniforms of Danish volunteers.
The items shown are partly from my own collection and partly provided by other collectors or archives, and are intended to illustrate historically used objects.
No symbols are presented by the undersigned as an expression of any political stance regarding who used them or in what context.
A wide variety of makes and models were worn on German uniforms. Most were officially produced in accordance with RZM regulations, but a number of tailor-made or privately manufactured cloth badges can also be found. Here is a random selection of badges from my own collection.
The sports badge shown here originates from Carl Nielsen of Slagelse and dates from his time in Sennheim. It is likely a privately made cloth badge (both he and his family were trained tailors).
