Sleeve stripes worn by Danish volunteers

Since it was not an independent Reich German unit within the Waffen-SS, the new regulations required that the unit insignia be worn in the form of a sleeve stripe with the troop unit’s name. However, these were not organised, and it is believed this was because the Danish/German side was not certain that enough personnel could be raised for an independent Danish unit, so they chose to wait before putting these insignia into production at the RZM.*
