Troop Training Area Treskau, Poznan, Poland

A box-shaped facility that dates back to before World War I and which, in connection with the rearmament in 1940, was modernized and made ready for larger troop forces. The nearby monastery was cleared of residents (there is no documentation of how this happened, however, a work camp was set up near the town of Treskau and some were transferred here as laborers). There is a larger training area intersected by the Warthe River, providing the perfect setting for final field training.
