The German military magazine “Der Freiwillige”

Today there are still a few remaining veterans’ associations for those who participated in the Second World War. Some of these associations have, over the years, been transformed into organizations that also include families and other relatives. In recent years, a few have been taken over by people with a historical interest, who keep the associations alive as a gathering point for their hobby-related interests. In the past, magazines and leaflets were printed, but today organizational work takes place via email, discussion forums, and websites.
