About Aage’s handwritten memoirs

Here we present some memoirs written immediately after the war in exercise books by a Frikorps soldier who, out of consideration for his relatives, we will refer to as Aage.

For readability, these memoirs have been divided into several smaller sections.

The memoirs were apparently never completed, and there are clear gaps in the narrative—especially towards the end. Nevertheless, they provide a vivid picture of life in the Frikorps during its short existence.
