At New Year 1937, my old uncle gave up his land for subdivision, and on February 13 there was an auction of the farm’s livestock and equipment. Towards evening on that same day, I went to visit my old schoolteacher and was enrolled in the National Socialist Party of Denmark, to which I had gradually become attached, having attended a J.A.K. meeting at Thureby Inn in 1934 and since then having had some contact with the new thoughts and ideas, as I no longer had much faith in the old politics. <\/p>\n
On January 31, 1937, my new comrades persuaded me to join them at a large rally in Nyk\u00f8bing Sj., with demonstration marches, where I heard Frits Clausen speak for the first time. Later that day, we traveled to Kalundborg, where there was a torchlight procession and later a meeting. Late into the night, we then drove home through a raging snowstorm. <\/p>\n
Through this party, I found my best comrades, as well as my wife, who had worked in Copenhagen for several years.
On Sunday, February 25, 1937, I was visiting home in S., and since I was now the only one in the family who had joined the D.N.S.A.P., I naturally had to face criticism the whole time. At 4:30 PM, I got on my bicycle and rode to Herf\u00f8lge Station and bought a ticket to Copenhagen, where there was a meeting at Borup Folk High School. <\/p>\n
A few days later, a workmate and I traveled to Store Heddinge in a raging snowstorm. ???? J. M. Jensen of Tingjellinge was speaking, and we did not return until towards the morning of the following day.<\/p>\n
On May 4, I attended a large May rally at “Casino” in Ringsted, and it was then that I began taking part in the work of the SA in Haslev.<\/p>\n
