On 29 January a guard post shot a Schalburg member in the arm at bedtime, when he was sitting down and taking off his clothes.<\/p>\n
In early February my good friend Svend Jensen was admitted to the National Hospital, where he suddenly died after the operation.<\/p>\n
On 10 February, in the kitchen, something was accidentally dropped into our food that we could not tolerate, and from 21:00 until well into the following morning we had to stand in a queue at the small house. (It normally only has space for 10 men at a time.) <\/p>\n
At the same time we were now allowed to exchange letters once a week.<\/p>\n
On 13 February 1946 I again had a visit from my wife and little daughter, where I was told that my brother had been in court and received 4 years for having been in the \u201cFree Corps Denmark,\u201d after which he later began serving his sentence when his appeal to the High Court was rejected.<\/p>\n
My old schoolteacher, who was also arrested on 5 May 1945 and had spent most of the time in hospital, was sentenced in March 1946 while on his sickbed to 2 years in prison.<\/p>\n
On 29 March 1946, after 10 months in prison, we were issued a bedsheet. (Things were slowly improving.) My father, mother, and brother also visited me together with my wife. <\/p>\n
